John Torvik

Responsible for overall strategy, operations, and management at ICP Ventures
Prior to joining ICP Ventures, John worked as Investment Director in SINTEF Venture, a Norwegian early-stage fund investing in technology originating from research at SINTEF. John took part of the commercialization of research results and the development of new companies in the field of clean energy, life sciences, and information and communications technology.
Previously, John worked with Novus Energy Partners, a transatlantic cleantech growth equity investment fund and i-Energies AS, a private investment company. These roles exposed him to senior operating roles and board positions of both private and listed companies. John also co-founded in 2001 PowerSicel, a spin-off from Astralux and the University of Colorado. He led PowerSicel as CEO until successfully negotiating its acquisition by Advanced Power Technology in January 2005.
